Orders & Products

  • Mi Despensa is Tauranga’s Latin grocery shop. We stock authentic pantry products from across Latin America, including Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Brazil, and Venezuela. Our range includes corn flours, hot sauces, yerba mate, Colombian coffee, Dulce de Leche, chilli pastes, tortillas, snacks, beverages, and much more. We are constantly adding new products based on community request.

  • Yes! We work hard to restock popular products as quick as possible. Import timelines can sometimes cause short delays. If a product you love is out of stock, send us a message at info@midespensa.co.nz an we will notify you as soon as it is available again. You can also let us know which products you’d most like to see - your feedback shapes what we stock.

  • Absolutely - we love hearing from the community! if there is a product from home that you miss and ca not find here, reach out to us at info@midespensa.co.nz or fill out the contact form on our homepage. We regularly add new products based on customer suggestions.

  • Yes. We source authentic products directly imported from their countries of origin. You’ll find original brands like Juan Valdez, Harina Pan, Doñarepa, Playadito, Valentina, El Yucateco, Alacena, La Serenisima and many more - the same brands you’d find at home.

  • Some products have bilingual labels; others are in Spanish only. However, we include full ingredient and usage information in English on every product page on our website, so you know exactly what’s inside before you buy. If you have a specific allergy concern, don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll check the label for you.

  • We accept Transferences, Cash and all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American express) as well as Paypal and Apple Pay through our secure Squarespace checkout. All transactions are encrypted and processed securely - we never store your card details.

  • No minimum order required! You’re welcome to order as little or as much as you like. For local delivery within our free delivery zone (postcodes 3110, 3112, 3116, 3118), there is no minimum purchase - we’ll bring it to your door regardless.

  • Absolutely. Our website is powered by Squarespace Commerce, which uses industry-standard SSL encryption and PCI-compliant payment processing. Your personal and financial derails are fully protected.

Payments

  • Yes! We offer Free Local delivery with no minimum purchase to address within postcodes 3110, 3112, 3116, 3118 (Tauranga and Mount Maunganui). Deliveries run Monday to Friday. For address outside this zone, a delivery fee of NZD$15 apply - see our Delivery page for full details.

  • Local deliveries (free zone) are typically completed within 1-2 business days after your order is confirmed. Orders placed over the weekend or on public holidays are processed on the next business day. For Nationwide shipping outside Tauranga, estimated transit times depend on your location - usually 2-5 business days via courier.

  • Yes! You’re welcome to collect your order from our location at 31A Carysfort Street, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga. Please contact us on instagram @midespensanz or via phone 0212563436 or 02108095505 (Call, Text, WhatsApp) before arriving to confirm your order is ready for pick-up and to arrange a suitable time.

  • Yes, we can ship nationwide! For orders outside our free local zone, a NZD$15 shipping fee apply. If your order exceeds 25kg we will contact you to confirm the final shipping fees.

Delivery

  • We’re sorry if that happens - It’s not the experience we want for you! Please contact us at info@midespensa.co.nz within 48 hours of receiving your order and include a photo of the issue. We’ll sort it out promptly with a replacement or refund, depending on the situation.

  • Due to the nature of food products, we’re unable to accept returns for a change of mind on opened or used items. However, if a product is unopened and in its original condition, please get in touch within 3 days of receipt and we’ll discuss your options.   • We are committed to only dispatching products with adequate shelf life remaining. All products are checked before packing. If you notice a product with a best-before date concern, please let us know immediately and we’ll make it right.
